Contact & Corrections — The Door Left Open

Contact & Corrections

The book’s promise is “prove all things,” and its invitation is to check the work. An invitation like that needs a door, and this is it.

Found an error? In the book or on this site: a citation that does not check out, a quotation that reads differently at the source, a factual slip, a broken link. Use the form below. The most useful report names the page or chapter, the claim, and the source you checked it against. Every report is read. If you are right, online material is corrected where possible, and corrections touching the printed book are recorded here and applied at the next printing or edition; if the matter is more disputed than mistaken, you may get a reply rather than a correction, and the standard both ways is the book’s own: the sources decide.

Everything else. The same form reaches the author for permissions requests, review copies, invitations to speak, and anything the site does not answer. One request: this site does not conduct debates by correspondence. The arguments are in the book, with their sources; the form is for errors, logistics, and invitations.

The public record of corrections

Substantive corrections to the book or to this website are recorded here, dated, newest first. Typo-level fixes are not logged; anything touching a claim, a citation, or a quotation is.

No corrections recorded yet. First edition; record opens at publication.
